Thoughts that become deeply rooted in our minds can become an impenetrable thicket that obscures a clear view of reality. Like roots digging into the ground, these thoughts become firmly anchored and deprive us of the ability to perceive the world around us unbiasedly. Sometimes they lead to a distorted view of reality by emphasizing emotions and beliefs. It requires conscious effort to recognize, question and, if necessary, cut these roots in order to regain clarity and objectivity.
